Therapy for Grief, Trauma, and the Life Changes That Reshape Us
Prism Psychotherapy, LLC offers virtual psychotherapy in Florida and Pennsylvania for adults navigating grief, trauma, identity, difficult relationships, major transitions, and experiences that have become too heavy to carry alone.
You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy.
Maybe You’re Here Because…
You lost someone or something that mattered deeply.
A relationship ended, changed, or became painful.
You are grieving a life, identity, family, future, or sense of belonging you thought you would have.
You survived something difficult and are beginning to understand how it still affects you.
You are a veteran or service member carrying experiences that are difficult to explain to people outside the military.
You are LGBTQIA+ and want therapy where your identity is understood without becoming the entire focus of the room.
Or maybe you simply know that something is not working anymore.
Therapy can provide a place to untangle what happened, understand how it continues to affect you, and decide what you want your life to look like moving forward.
Areas of Focus
Grief, Loss & Bereavement
Support for death-related grief, anticipatory grief, complicated relationships, disenfranchised grief, and losses that other people may not fully understand.
Trauma & Complex Trauma
Trauma-informed therapy that helps you understand survival patterns, emotional responses, relationships, and the ways past experiences may still influence the present.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
Care that recognizes the impact identity, family, belonging, discrimination, coming out, relationships, and life transitions can have on mental health.
Military & Veteran Experiences
Therapy informed by clinical experience and research involving veterans, military culture, military sexual trauma, hazing, identity, and transition.
Life Transitions & Identity Changes
Support through divorce, relationship changes, caregiving, career changes, aging, health changes, family transitions, and moments when the life you knew no longer quite fits.
Prism Psychotherapy welcomes LGBTQIA+ clients, veterans and military-connected adults, people navigating complicated or disenfranchised grief, trauma survivors, and adults moving through major life transitions.
Virtual psychotherapy for adults located in Florida and Pennsylvania.
Hi, I’m Dr. Catherine T. Revak
…but please, just call me Cate.
I’m a clinical social worker, researcher, veteran, and therapist specializing in grief, trauma, military experiences, identity, and major life transitions.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that therapy should help you understand yourself—not judge, pathologize, or reduce you to a diagnosis.
We may explore what happened, what you learned to do in order to survive it, what is still serving you, and what you may be ready to change.
You do not have to perform wellness here.
You can simply begin where you are.
Therapy That Makes Room for Complexity
People rarely arrive in therapy with one neat problem.
Grief may exist alongside anxiety.
Trauma may affect relationships.
Burnout may collide with caregiving.
Identity changes may bring freedom and loss together.
Healing does not require simplifying your story.
At Prism Psychotherapy, there is room for all of it.
Therapy Should Also Be Financially Understandable
Prism offers private-pay therapy and sliding-scale options when available. Superbills may also be provided for clients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance plan.
Questions about cost are welcome.
You Don’t Have to Know Exactly What You Need
Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation.
If you think Prism may be a good fit, you are welcome to reach out.
